Read Devotion

Matthew 11:28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Hello friend. I'm so glad you're here.

Before we begin, take a deep breath. Now take another. Let your shoulders relax.

For the next few moments, give yourself permission to pause. You don't have to fix anything. You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to carry everything alone.

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to keep carrying things long after they've become too heavy?

We carry responsibilities. We carry expectations. We carry disappointment. We carry worry about our children, our finances, our future, our health, and the people we love.

And sometimes we carry things God never asked us to carry in the first place.

The pressure to have it all together. The pressure to be strong all the time. The pressure to make everyone happy. The pressure to never let anyone see us struggle.

Maybe that's where you are today. You're tired. Not because you're weak. You're tired because you've been carrying too much for too long.

And today Jesus offers us an invitation. Not a demand. Not another responsibility. An invitation.

Come to Me.

Guided Prayer

Father,

Today I come to You exactly as I am. No pretending. No performing. No trying to be stronger than I really am.

You already know what I've been carrying. You know the worries that keep me awake. You know the responsibilities that feel overwhelming. You know the disappointments I don't always talk about.

And today, I bring them to You.

Your Word says to come when we are weary and burdened. So here I am.

I surrender what I cannot control. I release what was never mine to carry. I give You my fears. My worries. My stress. My uncertainty.

Fill my heart with Your peace. Remind me that I do not walk through this season alone. Help me trust You with what I cannot fix. Teach me how to rest in Your presence.

Thank You for being my refuge. Thank You for being my strength. Thank You for carrying what I cannot.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Closing Encouragement

You were never meant to carry everything by yourself.

The strongest thing you can do is bring your burdens to God.

Take a deep breath. Release what you've been holding. Trust that God is already at work in the places that feel the heaviest.

Until next time, keep building, keep healing, and keep the fire burning.

I'm praying for you.
